With family ties to the Yuma area since the 1930’s, Dr. Brown returned to his home town in 1997 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Arizona and his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry.
Since his return, he has become a fellow of the American Academy of optometry, provided ten years of Low Vision services to the visually impaired students associated with the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and Blind and ten years as Adjunct Faculty for the Illinois College of Optometry.
He is very active in the community as past president of the Sunrise Optimist Club of Yuma, past Board member of the Yuma Community Food Bank, past president of the Caballeros de Yuma, founder and first race director of the Yuma Territorial Marathon & Half Marathon, and Silver Beaver recipient from the Boy Scouts of America.
His spare time is spent exploring the great state of Arizona.
